For my birthday, i decided a mix was in order. I played this set live for a few friends while on vacation. it’s 40 minutes of dutch, electro and ouse that i’m sure nobody will enjoy. eventually i will get the set list up here so that you know what i runed.

New Mixer, same skills.
This is the first set i’ve recorded with the new Hercules 4-MX. Clearly it was not the controller holding back my talent.

This 50 minute set was chopped out of a 4 hour set i played one Saturday night. Its the best 50 minutes i could pull out without splicing together different parts of the set.
Enjoy
Here it is, in all it’s non glory.

Nothing special in this one, except for a couple of the songs I’ve posted on the site. Enjoy
Wowzer. Simply put, this song is ridiculous.
Just so you know, I’m leaving the YouTube link up for all to see. Boysnoize pulled the video due to copyright issues. Take that how you want to. I know i have…
UPDATE:::
Here is attempt #3 at letting you hear this bad ass song. After this i quit.

D.I.M and Tai – Ion (original Mix) is available on Beatport. Its definitely worth the buy.
Keep in mind that they have every right to pull the song from You Tube. It is in fact their property. So please support the record company by buying the song on beatport. Also, the artists might get a penny each.
Have you ever heard of Zedd? I thought so.
Have you ever played Zelda? I thought so.
Pretty cool huh? I thought so.
I’ve been doing some searching, and i’ve uncovered some unofficial lineup information. I’ll be posting what i’ve found, and where i found it so it doesn’t look like i’m full of crap when these people don’t show up!
Here’s what we know:
Massive intent is hosting the third Future Fest on June 30, 2011 at the Travis County Expo Center.
7311 Decker Lane
Austin, TX 78724
The event is scheduled to go on from 6PM Saturday, until 4AM Sunday. (though there are varying accounts on how long the event actually lasts, historically speaking)
The Unofficial Lineup:
DJ Irene – Found HERE also HERE
Anjlkllr – Found HERE (check the sig in her post about Stanton Warriors)
DJ Sparticus – Found HERE (check his post on April 25th)
DJ Kelly Trance – Found HERE
5/10/11 Update:
So i haven’t found any more unofficial listings for DJ’s attending. Bud i did find this interesting nugget on the Massive Intent Facebook page:

I dont know what this means for this year, but its not looking good for the Expo Center. Massive Intent said in an earlier post that the lineup would be released “soon.” I’m still looking for more info, so stay tuned.
Leave me a comment if you find someone, or are someone who is playing, so i can add that name to this list.
(UPDATE 5/17/2011)
Massive intent is restructuring their site towards the Future Fest 2011 design, but has not released any information… But they were nice enough to put up a cheesy “coming soon” billboard for their talent page. Pretty lame you say? I agree.
I’m still looking, I’m still not finding much.
For reference, they put the link to tickets up on their site, but there are not tickets on sale right now. Also, the email list is broken…
(UPDATE 6/5/2011)
I haven’t forgotten about you guys, there just isn’t anything to report. I’m sure Massive Intent has their reasons for keeping us in the dark about the performances…. I just cant think of any. They were nice enough to announce on their Facebook page that details would be coming soon. But we heard that before. Is there going to be a Future Fest in 2011?
(UPDATE 6/15/2011)
So there is finally a lineup…. sort of. http://www.massiveintent.com/futurefest/talent.html
That list of lineup is like the “Whos Who” of “Who?” (or “Her?” if you’re an Arrested Development fan)

I feel like i’m looking forward to a “If you book them, they will play” scenario. And there is no Jim Morrison or naked Indian man talking to anyone.
I have fond memories of Future Fest 1. Me and my good friend GergWerk were at the first one, and we had a blast. Two days of mostly good music. We stayed in a swanky hotel close to the airport in Austin, and apparently we weren’t the only ones.
On our way out of the hotel to the party, we shared an elevator with a group of people apparently arguing over weather it was ok to go to the same party wearing a plain white t-shirt. We get in the elevator, and suddenly its very quiet and a little tense. Out of nowhere, somebody utters “future fest?” To the best of my recollection, Gerg answered “yep!” Which was promptly followed by, “See, I told you a white t-shirt was ok!”
There were all kinds of people, from all kinds of places. Most of whom were looking for some attention in a crowd of people out for the same thing. We heard a lot of good music, and Gerg even got a picture of him with DJ Dan. Who, coincidently, is one of the DJ’s i like to see again most.
But none of that really matters. The unofficial lineup that i have uncovered can be found HERE. What matters is that Future Fest 2011 is scheduled for July 30th. I’ve been searching for a dj lineup, but so far have been mostly unsuccessful.
But, tickets are on sale. If you are a party kid, or just want to see 30,000 party kids packed in to a huge venue, you can get tickets HERE. You can check MassiveIntent.com for updates, but be aware, they are showing the Spring Love festival right now. Im assuming that after Spring Love, they will start announcing the lineup for Future Fest.
When the lineup is announced, you can be assured that i’ll post all the goods here.
*** UPDATE ***
So its now May 3rd, and there is still no lineup posted anywhere that i can find. In fact, the link to the tickets is also dead. Im starting to wonder if this thing is still happening. I’ll keep you guys posted as best i can.
